Pseudo intellectuals.

India has been a country of diversity; it is home to so many different religions. With religion comes the various approaches to life. Some religion is more open and accepting while others are not so. It is up to us if we accept the fact or not that religion does play a very crucial role in shaping one's personality as he or she matures. For India, this diversity comes at a price. This diversity has made India a country of Hybrid society.

Freedom is the foundation of such a hybrid society, freedom to speak, read-write, and choose. And as it is it should be, there is no harm in saying that progress will come from progressive thinking and nothing else.

All the great countries have based their constitution on this. This gives us, power. 

What we do with that power is up to us, do we nurture it? and make our country great? Do we provide such an atmosphere to everyone that everyone gets equal opportunities to grow? 

Today freedom of expression is the most abused power. People are being manipulated into believing something that will take this country years behind others. The world is going through a phase of a crisis, if we are not out of it soon god only knows what will follow. And yet a certain part of a community is doing unspeakable things. 

Yes, I am talking about the stone-pelting incidents on the doctors and the so many others you also might have come across. 

What happened? Where did we go so wrong? Who is responsible for encouraging this kind of behavior? why are people committing these heinous acts? 

Did people from this community believe that they will not get affected by Corona? 

Maulana saad certainly believed so the damage he alone has done to society cannot be measured on any scale. Listen to what he said as reported by a news channel. Obviously, the virus knows no religion and it will not differentiate between a person being Hindu or Muslim. It is not just about Maulana Saad but about all the spiritual leaders that are misdirecting the common men. He led them to believe it is better to attend religious meetings rather than keeping safe. He encouraged it.

But who are these common men and why do they get misdirected so easily?

These people are none other than the ones who probably were illiterate, do not have a particular aim in life and very certainly don’t know reach their aims if any. Such a population can very easily be misdirected; they do not possess the intellect necessary to get themself out of the troublesome situation. For a person having ill intent common men become a very easy target. Once you provide a person with the aim in life and directions on how to achieve it with promises for great things in the end. it becomes a pretty much automated process. 

What to do when it is evident that certain godman are directing the general population in the wrong direction? 

It becomes necessary for people of the nation that as a responsible citizen that voice their opinion against it. But community being minority and vote bank to many of the leaders, would it be appreciated? No…..

It doesn’t sound good if you against minorities, no one wants to read that. To become intellectual one must oppose general opinion even if it means supporting wrong. That’s what we as a country are going through. These intellectuals don’t care if anyone lives or dies. They just want their popularity to soar. They can only be countered by leaders and other influencers and that is why we need our leaders, friends, and family members to voice their opinion against wrong. We need people to voice their opinions, we need to take care of the people around us, educate them and most of all reassure them. Everything will be alright, and you are not alone.
