hmmm. where to start. Well i have some complains.
1. Contains virtually no support for blogging. I did figure out how to work that blogtk thing but it wont let me give titles to the blog and what good is a blog without a title.
2. A friend of mine told me that songbird (click here if you want to know more about songbird. Its wonderful.) works on kubuntu and yes it does, only small problem every time i restart my computer and start songbird it says that it can not access my watch folder. What the hell!!!!.
3. The desktop taskbar has no hide options. I liked that in KDE i seriously don't understand why the dev team dropped this functionality.
4. Try to copy paste some thing from your windows ntfs partition to linux native partition u ll know what i hate abt this.
5. Wifi is a pain in the ass. No matter how hard i try i just cant figure it out how to connect to my collage wifi.
6. I am a writer kinda guy and every now and then i like to write what's going on in my head so that i can read it in the future and analyze things. So this calls for a daily diary type of program (dont have it click here) right well they do have this diary type of prog but it does not have a password facility so virtually of no use)
7. It has really use less bunch of widgets (i only use clock)
now good things
1. all things are pretty much easy to install if u use command line installer i.e. #sudo apt-get install <package name>
its pretty simple after that and best thing its faster then the adept installer.
2. Effects are simply fantastic love them.
3. If you have a wired connection then u are ready to go no problem at all.
4. Supports almost any thing. You wont believe it but just to write this blog i have logged into windows otherwise i was pretty much at home (in Kubuntu).
here is a pic of my desktop (looks great )
5. I must say i am really impressed with the file browser. Windows dev team should take some serious notes from them.
Well that's abt it. Lot more to come about kubuntu…………………..
One Response so far.
