All new V-Ray
You might face a few problems installing it, like I and Shamit(my batchmate) were up till 4 am configuring V-ray. Cracking the software, loading the materials, activating the product etc. etc... but all the pain was worth it. The best thing is that it comes with a Tutorial and that too is quite easy.
But i also feel that this too realistic rendering hinders in the design process. When you see the rendered file, you get overwhelmed too see the quality of rendering and that overpowers the design issues in the product. Even a bad design looks pretty.
Check out some of my work premlokesh.iicd.in (this containes the real products not the rendered one)

Encounter with the Kubuntu
hmmm. where to start. Well i have some complains.
1. Contains virtually no support for blogging. I did figure out how to work that blogtk thing but it wont let me give titles to the blog and what good is a blog without a title.
2. A friend of mine told me that songbird (click here if you want to know more about songbird. Its wonderful.) works on kubuntu and yes it does, only small problem every time i restart my computer and start songbird it says that it can not access my watch folder. What the hell!!!!.
3. The desktop taskbar has no hide options. I liked that in KDE i seriously don't understand why the dev team dropped this functionality.
4. Try to copy paste some thing from your windows ntfs partition to linux native partition u ll know what i hate abt this.
5. Wifi is a pain in the ass. No matter how hard i try i just cant figure it out how to connect to my collage wifi.
6. I am a writer kinda guy and every now and then i like to write what's going on in my head so that i can read it in the future and analyze things. So this calls for a daily diary type of program (dont have it click here) right well they do have this diary type of prog but it does not have a password facility so virtually of no use)
7. It has really use less bunch of widgets (i only use clock)
now good things
1. all things are pretty much easy to install if u use command line installer i.e. #sudo apt-get install <package name>
its pretty simple after that and best thing its faster then the adept installer.
2. Effects are simply fantastic love them.
3. If you have a wired connection then u are ready to go no problem at all.
4. Supports almost any thing. You wont believe it but just to write this blog i have logged into windows otherwise i was pretty much at home (in Kubuntu).
here is a pic of my desktop (looks great )
5. I must say i am really impressed with the file browser. Windows dev team should take some serious notes from them.
Well that's abt it. Lot more to come about kubuntu…………………..

Kblogger
Ok here goes my so far experience with kubuntu. I installed Kubuntu Linux installed without a hitch very easily identified the free space and since i have precious experience with partitioning for Linux it was not at all problematic. Now comes the good part Kubuntu has this software Adept which maintains link to the various other kind of softwares any kind you just name it and there is some thing for it in the Linux. Networking was not a problem i have a wired network at hostel so again connected to it without a problem. But if u install kubuntu i would suggest that u get following things.
Mozilla Firefox (the default with kubuntu sucks![]()
Banshee (for mp3 file support)
VLC media player (plays almost any thing in video)
Upgrade ur open office so that it can support msoffice2007 files.
now i come to the part where i have almost surrendered and have found no alternative. I am not an avid blogger i don't blog that often but still i love expressing my views. So i started search for a blogging software in kubuntu and to my amazement there was one named KBLOGGER. Pretty decent stuff neat and clean interface simple but wait does it work, ahem……………… na.
The damn thing wont work for me. I so much wanted to make this post form Kblogger but (
) well u cant have all that u want rt.
so here this is so far what i have achieved and my comments on OS, man its good i don't like eye candy stuff but i am impressed.

Open source and life
I am a windows user, and i feel no shame to admit it. Even the software that i am using to write this blog is windows based (Windows Live Writer). The life in windows is so easy. But why?, as i try to find the answer to this question you ll probably say that all that is required in window to perform any work is simple click, true but had that been basis of our choice probably we all wd have had Mac os simply because all that is required is click. People at apple pay most of their attention to GUI and its simplicity those who have never tried Mac try iphone or ipod u ll get the idea what i am talking about. But the question is why we feel so at home in windows hmmmmm…… let me try to answer that imagine you are a Chinese kid and people all around you are using speaking Chinese well in that environment that language ll come easy to you no matter how tough it is right. What if Linux had same popularity as windows, what if the people around us were also using Linux.
Is Linux so hard that we run away from it, aint it suppose to be just another operating system just to make our life easier. To find the answer to this question i am going to install Linux on my system. Not that it is a big deal but i just want to find out whether its worth all the trouble. And whether its worth having a fake os with a lot of cracked programs installed.
The Linux I am trying is Kubuntu. Also let me tell you about my past experiences well i have dealt with Red Hat 7, Suse 9, Suse 10, Suse 11, Knopix, Fedora Core 6. So far the best have been Suse 11 and Fedora core 6 both supported my laptop with out any hitch installation went perfectly fine best according to me have been Fedora Core 6 because of the ease of use.
What now? just wait and watch i am a bit occupies for upcoming 2 days but ll soon come up with news and experiences.

Palmistry and Science
Have u ever had a feeling that there might just be more to palmistry than just fortune telling. Well i have i have given it a deep thought and came up with some startling understanding of palmistry as a science. Now in this post i am just going to try to explain it to u people reading this (provided if any
) how can palmistry be a science.
Ok first of all u must understand some scientific principles like multiverse (for deeper understanding follow the link). So i am assuming that u have indeed followed the link and are by now aware of the multiple possible universe at same instance of a time. Now things may get fuzzy from here, pay attention. Now assume this, from your point of your universe started when your making was started ( lets keep it as simple as possible ok). The same thing is signified by the starting point of the life line in your hand. And your death that is the end of your universe that u live in, from your point of view is signified by the sudden break in the life line.
1.life line, 2: Head line - 3: Heart line - 4: Girdle of Venus - 5: Sun line - 6: Mercury line - 7: Fate line
So basically when u die from your point of view your universe is also dead. Which can be very easily represented by a straight line.
So point A you start and point B u die in universe U1 signified by a red line. but there also exists a parallel universe just along side of ours. So if you make some serious changes like picking up habit of smoking u have decided to die at point B. but on the other hand if you leave that habit or don’t pick it up in the first place u might just shift to a completely different future and end at your alternative end i.e. at C. in parallel universe. Now what do palmist do, palmist predict your future on the basis of what have u done in your past and project it to predict ur future (regression analysis some of you might just know it).
U would be completely correct in saying that palmist are not always correct because it is always you who decides which way you want to take ur future. Have you ever given it a thought that just because you write too much your palm bends in a very particular way and the sun line develops. Its all in the way we behave every thing is decided by that only. Palmist are just the people who have identified a trend and they predict according to what they have learned abt these trends.
So next time you see a palmist think about it there might be some hint of some kind.

Windows Live writer
Now i am fairly new to blogging never liked to log in and click on to the thousands of buttons just to put a decent post on my blog. So here i am,using windows live writer. There is this functionality which lets u preview ur post before uploading which is available on net too on the blogger but still it consumes less than a second to display the results.
ease of use 8/10
Interface 4/10
Functionality 8/10
here have a look.
my recommendation good for lazy couch potatoes like me.
